Continuity matters. Confirm who handles the consultation, planning, surgery and follow-up, and whether you have enough time to discuss your individual concerns.
Why size alone tells you little
The term ‘factory-style clinic’ is an informal description of a high-volume practice, not an official measure of clinical quality. A clinic with several surgeons may have clear responsibilities, while single-surgeon practices can differ in how they operate. Ask about consultation time, the doctor responsible for your care and how information is handed over.
What to ask at a single-surgeon practice
This model aims to have one doctor guide the consultation, surgery and follow-up. It can allow the same doctor to carry forward an understanding of your concerns and earlier discussions. Before booking, clarify which stages the surgeon personally handles, the follow-up schedule and whom to contact when the surgeon is unavailable. The model itself does not guarantee a particular result.

Make ‘natural-looking’ specific
People mean different things by a natural-looking change. Explain what you want to change and which features or expressions you hope to preserve. Ask why a procedure is recommended, what alternatives exist and what its limitations are. Sharing your previous surgery or treatment history also helps establish the starting point for the discussion.
Five questions to bring to your consultation
Use the questions below to guide the conversation and keep a note of the answers. If you are travelling from abroad, also confirm interpretation arrangements and how to contact the clinic after returning home.
- Will the consulting surgeon also perform my operation?
- Why is this procedure recommended, and what are the alternatives?
- How will the expected changes, limitations and possible side effects be explained?
- Who will provide follow-up care, and when?
- Are there additional costs, and how do I contact the clinic outside opening hours?
The approach at GGN Plastic Surgery
GGN Plastic Surgery aims to provide care personally led by its director, Dr. Jang Jun-cheol, from consultation through surgery and follow-up. Our approach is to discuss both the changes you seek and the features you want to preserve, and explain a plan suited to your face. Please share your expectations and questions openly. An individual plan is discussed after your condition has been assessed.
